A collage is collection of different materials that are not normally associated with one another, in a 2D or 3D form to create something new

Collages can also include other media such as painting and drawing, and contain three-dimensional elements. Collages are sometimes referred to as mixed-media work as they combine different media (materials).
Remember: there is no right or wrong way to make collage art!
Different materials you might find around your house that can be used for collages are:
- Colored paper (cut up or whole)
- Tissue paper
- Photographs
- Ribbon
- Beads
- Sequins
- Wool / Fur
- Materials and Fabrics
- Foil
- Natural materials (leaves, sticks, rocks etc)
- Magazines
Get comfortable with collaging...
Don't worry if you have never had a go at collaging before- there is no wrong way to collage, it is about having fun and experimenting!
Right now, see what materials you have around you that you could combine to make a collage! You could use pens, paper, a mug, a blanket, pillows, keys, wrappers or even food!
